For months and months, Livvie was merely a voice on the other end of Rachel Locke's telephone.

However, Livvie arrived in Port Charles in the flesh and called Rachel "mom"! Livvie was hurt when Rachel made it clear she wanted her out of town and after lying to Rachel, Livvie secretly stayed in Port Charles to do some investigating into her mother's behavior.

Livvie was befriended by Lucy, who invited her to stay in her suite at the Port Charles Hotel. Lucy, however, had no idea about the connection between Rachel and Livvie. In turn, Livvie wasn't aware of the animosity that existed between Lucy and Rachel.

Livvie admitted to Chris that Rachel was her mother but was still determined to keep her presence in Port Charles a secret. Before leaving town, Lucy asked Kevin to help Livvie, who was suffering from terrible nightmares in which she saw herself drowning. Kevin helped Livvie feel better and he continued meeting with her at Lucy's hotel room. This information was music to Chris' ears and he told Rachel that Kevin was treating a patient unethically. Rachel then hoped to use this information to end Kevin's career once and for all! In an effort to destroy Kevin's career, Rachel reported him to the medical board and claimed he was acting unethically by treating a young girl in her hotel room. Rachel, however, had no idea that Livvie was the girl Kevin was helping. Fearful of being exposed to Rachel, Livvie refused to testify on Kevin's behalf at his review board hearing. Meanwhile, a manipulative Chris made sure Livvie found out the truth about Joshua Locke not being her father. Soon thereafter, an angry Livvie burst into Kevin's hearing and publicly branded Rachel a liar. Livvie testified on Kevin's behalf and the charges against him were dropped. Livvie and Rachel had a major confrontation and it was clear Livvie no longer trusted Rachel. Kevin was unable to turn his back on Livvie and continued treating her. In the process, Kevin told Livvie that he had known her Aunt Grace and that Grace had drowned to death.

Lucy and Kevin pondered the theory that Kevin might be Livvie's father and that Grace, not Rachel, could be Livvie's mother. Lucy took things into her own hands and secretly initiated a DNA test for Kevin and Livvie after stealing a piece of Kevin's hair. At this same time, Kevin told Livvie that he had been engaged to Grace and had also been with her when she had drowned. Livvie then became angry with Kevin and accused him of keeping secrets from her just like Rachel. Chris continued to manipulate Livvie and urged her to distance herself from both Kevin and Rachel. Lucy had second thoughts about the DNA test and tried to destroy the results. Chris, however, saw to it that Lucy ended up getting the results and she learned that Kevin was indeed Livvie's father. A short time later, Lucy confessed to Kevin what she had done and gave him the proof that Livvie was his daughter. Kevin was angered by Lucy's actions but she urged him to embrace Livvie as his daughter. Chris arranged for Eve to get a copy of the DNA test results and she was shocked to find out that Kevin was Livvie's father. Eve went to Kevin's office and confronted him with the secret he had been keeping from her and was unaware that Livvie was already in the room. Livvie was shocked when Eve blurted out that Kevin was her father and Kevin was outraged over the way Eve had handled the situation. It became clear that Rachel was mentally unbalanced when she kidnapped Lucy and Kevin and held them hostage in her lab. Rachel had been experimenting on humans in an effort to find the cure for the disease that Estelle suffered from and injected Lucy with the disease as a helpless Kevin looked on in horror. Eve, Ian and Livvie found Rachel, Kevin and Lucy in the lab and Livvie created a distraction to allow Rachel to escape.

Later, Livvie went to Kevin and begged him to help Rachel without getting the police involved. Livvie took Kevin to see Rachel at the docks and Rachel felt betrayed by Livvie's actions. Rachel knocked Kevin unconscious and tried to escape with Livvie, but she refused to leave. Rachel then jumped into the water and tried to drown herself. Kevin regained consciousness and jumped into the water after Rachel, who then tried to drown Kevin. In the end, Kevin managed to save both himself and Rachel, who was taken away to a mental institution. Kevin, Lucy and Eve reached out to Livvie and Lucy told Livvie she co Livvie was instantly smitten when she encountered a young man named Jack taking a moonlight swim one night. Jack was later revealed to be Chris' brother and Chris wasn't pleased by Jack and Livvie's growing friendship. Chris schemed to break up Jack and Livvie and framed Jack for stealing money from him. Chris later made sure that Livvie heard Jack saying that he had only been using her. Livvie confronted Jack and was deeply hurt by his harsh words when he claimed that he had never really cared for her.   Livvie later learned that Chris had been using her as well and that Jack had developed genuine feelings for her.  Livvie reconciled with Jack and the two spent every available moment together.

After it appeared that Jack had died in a bike race, Livvie found herself lost in her grief.  She set out for revenge against the people she felt were responsible for Jack’s death.  During this time, she met a man named Caleb.  She felt drawn to him in a way she’d never felt before, and she couldn’t get him out of her head.  Just as she was ready to find out what the connection meant, Jack returned from the dead.

Livvie tried to spend as much time with Jack as possible after almost losing him, but she felt drawn back to Caleb.  Jack, however, knew the truth about Caleb…that he was a vampire with plans to create a coven in Port Charles including Livvie as his wife. 

Livvie struggled with her feelings for Caleb but gave into him and became his wife.  While Jack tried to keep her away from Caleb, Livvie couldn’t fight the intense desire she felt for the vampire.  After Caleb and Livvie were married, he bit her and told her to find her way back to him. 

During this time, Jack did everything in his power to convince Livvie that Caleb was not her destiny.  She began to feel the first pains of vampire hunger and knew that she didn’t want to become what Caleb was.  She and Jack along with the rest of Port Charles stood against Caleb and saw him destroyed on the roof of GH. At least that’s the way it appeared.

After Caleb’s death, Livvie kept hearing his music and seeing his ring every where.  Eventually, she returned to his haven…the catacombs and found out that he was indeed alive.  Using his pull over her to his advantage, he manipulated Livvie into breaking up all of the couples in Port Charles.  Livvie realized what he was doing to her when it was almost too late.  She struggled back and made a deal with Lucy.  They secretly arranged for Livvie to kill Caleb with the Slayer’s arrow.  Once Caleb was dead for good….Livvie was left with a lot of explaining to do about her misdeeds.

With an angel’s help (Rafe), Livvie and Jack found their way back to one another and bought a house together.  They finally were ready to have happy times, but watched as their friends, Alison and Jamal, were falling apart.  Rafe fell in love with Alison and Livvie warned him that he could never be with Alison for real because he was an angel and she was human.  Alison and Rafe continued on with their love affair but Rafe was forced to return to Heaven.  Once Rafe left, Livvie told Alison that it was better this way.  Alison wasn’t happy to hear it and told Livvie to go away.  When Alison began experimenting with her great grandmother’s candles, Livvie told her that she shouldn’t because of all the strange things that had happened in Port Charles over the last year.  Alison continued with the candles and Livvie received the Trouble candle. 

The candle pushed her over the edge.  Livvie began doing any and everything to make Alison pay for her crimes….including the murder of her father.  Livvie framed Alison by placing Kevin’s sweater in Alison’s car and later planting Ryan’s ashes on Barrington property…but that wasn’t the biggest scheme Livvie had in mind. 

Livvie found Rafe who had fallen to Earth with no memory of the last ten years.  She convinced him that they had been in love and were destined to be married before Alison interfered and did everything she could to separate them.  Livvie and Rafe were married and made plans to leave Port Charles to start a new life.  However, Rafe and Alison finally came face to face….Rafe woke her from a coma with a kiss….Livvie was forced to come up with another plan.  She told Rafe that she was pregnant with their child.  Now she’s doing everything in her power to keep her hold on her husband…..while Frank has a grip on her….
